Hon. Lerwis Brown Mathenge has emerged as a beacon of hope and transformative leadership in Kamakwa Mukaro Ward and beyond. Mathenge’s leadership journey began during his tenure as a student leader at The Nyeri National Polytechnic, where he championed the rights and needs of students, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration. His leadership skills propelled him to a national platform as the National Organising Secretary of The TVET Student Association, where he worked to enhance opportunities for vocational training students across the country.
Beyond academia, Mathenge has been a pillar in humanitarian and peace-building initiatives. As the charter president of the Rotaract Club of Nyeri, he spearheaded projects that uplifted vulnerable communities. His role as the Director of Partnership at The Rotaract Kenya Peace Campaign further highlighted his dedication to fostering unity and addressing pressing social challenges.
Recognized for his selflessness and ambition, Mathenge recently joined other young leaders at H.E. Rigathi Gachagua’s Wamunyoro Residence, where they engaged in discussions on political and leadership strategies for the Mt. Kenya region. During the meeting, the Deputy President acknowledged Mathenge’s outstanding leadership qualities and expressed confidence in his ability to drive change and serve his community effectively.
