The Ngong Suswa Road is a 70 kilometre strategic transport corridor cutting across Kajiado North and Kajiado West sub counties, and its construction is now nearing completion.
As a flagship project under the Kenya Kwanza Government’s Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda, it seeks to open up the region by enhancing mobility, unlocking investment potential, and creating new economic opportunities.
Critically, this road offers a much-needed alternative to the Nairobi Mai Mahiu highway, an increasingly notorious route plagued by chronic traffic jams, frequent accidents, and delays, particularly for long-distance travelers and heavy commercial vehicles.
Once operational, the Ngong Suswa Road is expected to decongest this overstretched corridor, providing a faster, safer, and more reliable route to Narok, Bomet, Kisii, Kericho, and the wider Nyanza r
egion.
